Bare metal

Reserve a physical machine's complete CPU, memory and storage capacity for your game network.

Access: The operating system and software on the physical server you rent.
Resources: Exclusive use of your chosen machine's CPU, memory and storage.
You manage: Installing and maintaining the OS and game software, including updates, security and backups.
VYKIX maintains: The network and physical hardware; ownership of the machine stays with VYKIX.

Is a Game VPS the same as a dedicated server?

With Game VPS, you get root access and allocated virtual CPU, memory and storage. With bare metal, the complete physical machine is reserved for you. In either case, you maintain the OS and game software. Choose after comparing your workload's resource needs.

Do I need root access to run mods?

You can manage supported mods through game-file and configuration access on a managed plan. Confirm the required game version and dependencies. Choose a VPS with root access if your software or OS changes fall outside what the managed setup supports.

Can I run several game servers on one plan?

Add together the CPU, memory and storage required by each instance, including its updates and backups. Game VPS and bare metal let you control the OS. You must maintain the software and stay within the plan's resource allocation and fair-use terms.

Which hosting options have a free trial?

Managed DayZ and Rust hosting offer a 48-hour trial. Verification requires a valid card, but there is no trial charge and no automatic paid subscription. After 48 hours the service is suspended; active data is deleted seven calendar days after suspension. Export the files you need before the trial expires. Trial hardware may differ from paid hardware, and continuing requires a separate paid order.
