Approve community members
After accepting a character application, add that player's ID to the approved list and enable whitelisting in VXPanel Config. Test a new listed connection and an unlisted one before inviting the community.
Separate staff access
Whitelisting grants entry, not administrator permissions. Keep join, admin and RCON passwords distinct, and assign staff permissions in your chosen admin mods.

Back up the mission and persistence before changing maps or mods. Plan restarts between sessions and test the setup before reopening to roleplayers.

Build your mod list.

  1. Find a mod by name or Workshop ID, then review its publisher's Workshop page.
  2. Follow the author's instructions to choose Install or Server-side.
  3. Before a maintenance restart, review Installed mods and their load order.

  2. For a custom expression, confirm its timezone and previewed run times.

DayZ roleplay hosting questions

Does roleplay require a different DayZ plan?

RP runs on the managed DayZ PC product without a separate tier. Configure the map, mods and membership rules you need, and select your city and billing term below. Your order total, including applicable taxes and fees, is shown before payment.

Can I restrict the server to approved roleplayers?

Yes. Build your approved-player whitelist and enable it in the server configuration. Save, restart and test admission. VXPanel provides the setting; your team still reviews applications and keeps the approved-player list current.

Does whitelisting give a player admin permissions?

No. The whitelist allows entry to the server. Configure server administrator authentication and admin-mod permissions as separate steps. Use distinct server, admin and RCON passwords, and limit each person's access to what they need.

Can I run a custom RP mod list or community map?

Yes. Install Workshop content and use full game-file access to assemble your DayZ PC setup. Check the authors' dependencies and client requirements, then test the map and mods together with your DayZ version.

Can I move an existing roleplay world to VYKIX?

Before moving, back up the world, mission and configuration and record the mod list and startup settings. Transfer access is available through files and SFTP. Agree migration scope with VYKIX before changing the live server, and confirm permission to transfer licensed or private mod files.
