Prepare the exports
Export serverDZ.cfg, the active mpmissions folder with its persistence, mod profiles and the Workshop list. Include startup arguments and mod versions so we can recreate the setup. Confirm permission to transfer private mod files.
Check the copied world
On the destination, join with an existing character and inspect a known base, vehicle and inventory. Check passwords, whitelists and mod loading. Match the map, build and persistence paths before accepting the transfer.
Plan the final handover
Agree a maintenance window for the final save, stop and copy. Share the new address after checks pass so players continue in one world.

Build your mod list.

Choose mods for your community and arrange the order in which they load.

  1. Find a mod by name or Workshop ID, then review its publisher's Workshop page.
  2. Follow the author's instructions to choose Install or Server-side.
  3. Before a maintenance restart, review Installed mods and their load order.

Plan your next restart.

Choose a timezone and time, check the resulting schedule, then save it.

  1. Set a restart frequency or supply your own custom expression.
  2. For a custom expression, confirm its timezone and previewed run times.
  3. Check the restart policy before creating the schedule, then verify it in the saved list.

Use File Manager to browse the server directory and upload your configuration.

  1. Navigate to the directory using the folder rows and path controls.
  2. Upload your configuration, or edit an existing supported text file.
  3. Retain the previous configuration and verify your saved edit.

DayZ server migration questions

Is DayZ server migration free?

Free migration help and seven days free are available for eligible switchers. We check exported files, compatibility and job size to confirm transfer scope and timing. Agree on the move and offer with VYKIX before ordering.

Can I move from Nitrado or GPORTAL?

Send the files you can export from your provider so we can check whether the DayZ PC setup is compatible. The VYKIX migration offer is for PC servers.

Will players keep their bases and progress?

Keeping progress depends on the available mission, persistence and mod-specific files and their compatibility with the destination. Have those requirements reviewed and test the imported world. Changing maps, incompatible mod data or missing files can mean starting again.

How should I plan downtime for the move?

Set a maintenance window for the final save and transfer. Stop the old server during the copy so players cannot create two versions of the world. Check the destination and share its address before cancelling the old service.

What will hosting cost after the move?

Your destination is the managed DayZ plan, without an added player-slot fee. Check its billing term and any agreed switcher promotion in the portal. Your order total, including applicable taxes and fees, is shown before payment.
